This looks so much better!
How does it look in the app?
Our icons will now include both the Overground roundel logo and the coloured stripes of each line. Here's how it looks in Citymapper when your journey includes a ride on the Overground.
Your journey details will now show the new name and colour of the line too.
And in real life?
1️⃣ Clearer announcements
Forget “Overground - Severe Delays.” Now, you’ll hear updates for each line by name (e.g. “Lioness Line”)—making it easy to know if your route is affected.
2️⃣ Easier to Tell Friends Where You’re Going
Each line has a memorable name, so explaining your route (or telling your date where you live 👀) just got way simpler.
3️⃣ New station signs for easier navigation
Have you ever been on the Highbury & Islington Overground platforms? Say less. This 👇 looks much better:

Rest assured—the classic 🍊 orange will live on in spots across the network - after all, the Tube wouldn't be the same without it!
But fresh starts sometimes call for a smashing entrance. ⭐️
