Elizabeth line phase 2 starts Sun 6 Nov
Tonight is the night, when 2 lines become 1 ๐ต
From Sun 6 Nov, the lines from Heathrow/Reading and Shenfield will connect with the central section. ๐
Direct journeys will now be possible from:
- Heathrow/Reading to Abbey Wood
- Shenfield to Paddington. No changing at Liverpool Street needed, what a dream ๐
โ๏ธ Some trains may continue to terminate at Paddington and Liverpool Street National Rail stations. For onward journeys, just hop off and on from the same platform, at any station in the central section.
Additionally, the Elizabeth line will start to run every day of the week, Sundays included ๐ There will also be more trains running per hour, with services extending after 11pm.
Phase 3 is on track to open by May 2023 - where all routes are up and running, connected into one seamless network. There will be 24 trains per hour (every 2.5 minutes) running through the central section during peak hours. Viva forever, we’ll be waiting...
